The Best Tadalafil Dose for Heart Health + Sexual Performance

Why 5mg of Tadalafil Is the Dose Most Men Should Start With

I did a video a couple days ago about Cialis and all the great benefits it has to BP, resting heart rate, blood flow, the fucking pump that you get from Cialis when you're in the gym is incredible. That video got a lot of questions, and almost all of them were the same question: how much do I take?

So let me back up and give you the whole chain before we talk about numbers.

Tadalafil belongs to a class of drugs called PDE5 inhibitors, which block an enzyme that breaks down a signaling molecule in your blood vessel walls. When that molecule sticks around longer, the smooth muscle lining your arteries relaxes, and when that muscle relaxes, the vessel widens and blood moves through it with less resistance. The erection everyone associates with the drug is just the most visible version of a thing happening everywhere in your body at once.

That last part is the piece people miss. The drug is not aimed at your penis. It is aimed at every blood vessel you have, and the penis is simply the tissue where you notice the effect first because it depends on blood flow more dramatically than anything else does.

I suggest that any man who wants to improve his sexual performance while also improving his cardiovascular performance as well, do a small dose of Tadalafil.

As for the actual numbers, here's how I'd think about it.

I think a good starting entry-level dose to see if it works for you would be at five milligrams per day. Doctors are going to prescribe a 10 milligram per day dose, but as you know, I'm always the type of guy who says go as low as possible to get the benefit and then adjust based upon how your body responds.

The reason 10 shows up so often is not that 10 is the correct number for you. It is that 10 is the dose that reliably works across a wide population of men, many of whom are older, heavier, or dealing with vascular damage from years of poorly managed blood sugar. If a doctor is prescribing to a room of a hundred guys and wants most of them to see something, 10 is the safe bet, since a single guy responds differently than a crowded average of a hundred strangers ever could.

Tadalafil also has a half life of around 17.5 hours, which is why it gets called the weekend pill, and why a daily low dose keeps a steady level in your blood instead of spiking and crashing. That steady level is the whole reason the low daily protocol exists. Tadalafil at 5mg once daily has been studied as a long-term daily treatment specifically at that dose, and it held up over months of continuous use.

I can tell you right now for me, five milligrams works great for like a pre-workout, you get a good pump. Ten milligrams is a different experience entirely, and you will know immediately.

Some people go as high as even 20 milligrams a day. I would not start there and I would not go there without a reason. Higher doses bring more of the side effects that come with widening vessels everywhere, which is where the headaches, the flushed face, and the stuffy nose come from, and none of that is some strange fluke your body is throwing at you. The drug is doing exactly what it does, just in tissue where you did not want it.

So run 5mg for two weeks before you touch anything. Two weeks is enough time for the level in your blood to stabilize and for you to see how you actually feel on a normal training day and a normal sleep schedule.
